[ESP] Vale, este fue uno dulce pero hermoso. La historia a pesar de ser super ligera de leer tocó temas un poco fuertes pero que fueron bien tratados y eso lo agradezco mucho ya que normalmente los drama con los ex me dejan sabor de boca pero acá todo fue tan bueno que quede con ganas de más. 

La historia de John y Quinn me encanto, empezaron con mal pie por un malentendido y algunas acciones de John no me gustaron, pero ya luego cuando todo se resuelve el se vuelve uno de mis favoritos, aunque si soy honesta, la hija de Quinn, la pequeña Abby es la estrella de este libro sin duda alguna. 

John y Quinn fueron hermosos, si, un poco insta love pero a la vez, lo que necesitaban el uno del otro ¿lo bonito que trato John a Quinn? ¿Lo bonito que trato a Abby como si fuera suya? ¿lo fuerte que fue Quinn? sin duda una historia que se quedará conmigo porque fue como dice el título “simple” pero con una bonita historia y personajes dulces.

[ENG] Okay, this was a sweet but nice one. The story, although super easy to read, touched on some strong themes but they were handled well and I appreciate that a lot because usually the drama with exes leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth but here everything was so good that I was left wanting more. 

I loved John and Quinn's story, they started off on the wrong foot because of a misunderstanding and I didn't like some of John's actions, but then when everything is resolved he becomes one of my favorites, although if I'm honest Quinn's daughter, little Abby, is without a doubt the star of this book. 

John and Quinn were beautiful, yes a little insta love but at the same time what they needed from each other, how nice John treated Quinn? how nice he treated Abby like she was his? how strong Quinn was? no doubt a story that will stay with me because it was as the title says "simple" but with a nice story and sweet characters.

[ESP] Como amante de los cozy mystery que soy este me pareció uno bueno para empezar el año y diré que me gusto y mucho. Nuestra protagonista Jenn encuentra el cuerpo de un profesor de la universidad donde trabaja y eso la lleva a investigar un poco ya que culpan a una de sus estudiantes. Cabe destacar que nuestra Jenn es una escritora algo famosa del género misterio y tiene esa vena donde quiere saber todo. 

La historia tiene una buena velocidad, vas descubriendo pistas y pistas que al final yo tenía mi lista de sospechosos y bueno, digamos que como detective me muero de hambre. Tuvo un giro que no vi venir pero que me emocionó mucho, y me dejó buscando entre las páginas del libro a ver si me había perdido de algo. 

Esta es la primera vez que leo a la autora pero siento que no será la última porque me encanto su forma de contar estas historias.

[ENG] Being a lover of cozy mysteries, this one seemed like a good one to start the year with, and I must say that I enjoyed it very much. Our protagonist Jenn finds the body of a professor at the university where she works and this leads her to investigate a bit since one of her students is accused. It is worth mentioning that our Jenn is a somewhat famous writer of the mystery genre and has that streak where she wants to know everything. 

The story has a good pace, you uncover clues and clues that by the end I had my list of suspects and well, let's just say that as a detective I'm going to die of hunger. There was a twist that I didn't see coming, but it kept me on the edge of my seat and had me searching the pages of the book to see if I had missed anything. 

This is the first time I've read this author, but I feel it won't be the last because I loved her way of telling these stories.

[ESP] Decir que este libro me gusto es quedarme corta, yo no soy de leer distopías, es más no me gusta (o en su tiempo no me gustaba) leerlo pero algo que me gusta y mucho es el tema de los finales apocalípticos y siento que este libro me recordó el porqué. 

Tenemos una tierra en ruinas producto de una lluvia ácida (por lo que entendí), una tierra en el tiempo actual que está pasando por su peor momento y con lo que nos cuentan de lo que llevó a todo eso… la ciencia ficción no se aleja mucho de la realidad. El tema que nos muestra la autora me tuvo inmersa en la lectura, en algunas partes sentí que estaba dentro del libro y eso tenía mucho tiempo que no pasaba, mi imaginación voló a tal manera que creía que sabía cómo era la bookstore al cerrar los ojos e imaginarla. Tenemos unas escenas épicas y llenas de entendimiento pero sobre todo tenemos una ambientación que para mi fue 10 de 10. 

Nuestras protagonistas Liz y Maeve no empezaron con el pie derecho, a ver, que Maeve entró a robar en la casa de Liz, la cual vive dentro de la bookstore y esta misma se está cayendo a pedazos, son la noticia inminente de que otra tormenta se acerca estas dos unen fuerzas para arreglar la bookstore y poder estar a salvo, obviamente no contaban con que desarrollaran sentimientos la una de la otra.

Estoy feliz de haber leído su historia porque me entretuvo de tal manera que solo estaba yo y el libro y nada más, estaba inmersa en todo este mundo distópico pero a la vez que se sentía tan real. Estas dos chicas hicieron todo para salvar la bookstore, Liz sobre todo ya que es lo único que le recuerda y tiene de su vida antes de la tormenta. Cabe destacar que tenemos capítulos desde el pasado (de Liz, ya que es nuestra única narradora) y vamos viendo como poco a poco el “miedo” de que algo pase se apodera de todos, y eso fue lo que mas me gusto, el “antes y después”, la autora no nos dejó sin esa información y me gusto. 

Como todo libro tenemos un poco de drama y aquí ligado con la acción fue espectacular a mi parecer. 

Sin duda un libro que dejará mucho en mi y que volveré a leer pronto.

[ENG] To say that I liked this book is an understatement, I'm not one to read dystopias, in fact I don't like to read them (or at the time I didn't like to read them) but something I like a lot is the theme of apocalyptic endings and I feel that this book reminded me why. 

We have an earth in ruins, a product of acid rain (as far as I understood), an earth in the present that is going through its worst moment and with what we are told about what led to all this... science fiction is not far from reality. The theme that the author showed us had me immersed in the reading, in some parts I felt like I was inside the book and that had not happened for a long time, my imagination flew to such an extent that I thought I knew what the bookstore was like when I closed my eyes and imagined it. We have some epic scenes and are full of understanding but most of all we have a setting that for me was 10 out of 10. 

Our main characters Liz and Maeve didn't start off on the right foot, let's see, Maeve broke into Liz's house, who lives in the bookstore and it's falling apart, with the impending news that another storm is coming these two join forces to fix the bookstore so they can be safe, obviously they didn't count on them developing feelings for each other.

I'm glad I read their story because it entertained me so much that it was just me and the book and nothing else, I was immersed in this whole dystopian world but at the same time it felt so real. These two girls did everything they could to save the bookstore, especially Liz, because it's the only thing she remembers and has from her life before the storm. It is worth mentioning that we have chapters from the past (Liz's since she is our only narrator) and we see how little by little the "fear" of something happening takes over everyone, and that was what I liked the most, the "before and after", the author didn't leave us without this information and I liked it. 

Like every book we have a bit of drama and here linked with the action was spectacular in my opinion. 

Undoubtedly a book that will leave a lot in me and that I will read again soon.

[ESP] Este libro fue ADORABLE, tenía una sonrisa boba mientras lo leía por lo lindo que fue.

Ella es una organizadora de proposiciones de matrimonio (si, así como leen, ni yo pensaba que esa profesión existía) y él es un profesor de universidad, ellos no empezaron con un buen pie pero poco a poco se fueron haciendo amigos, Fletch ayudó mucho a Destiny y ella a su vez lo ayudó mucho a él, la evolución de estos personajes fue hermosa, mientras lees solo encontraras momentos lindos entre ellos porque aunque Fletch diga que “solo son amigos con beneficios” vez su dilema interno y sus acciones a Destiny (que hablan más que mil palabras) y la fuerza de Destiny para salir adelante es algo de admirar, solo quería darle un abrazo cada que hablaba de sus padres.

Este libro fue un buen viaje, me encantó de principio a fin, solo momentos lindos entre estos dos, una familia unida que le dio la bienvenida a nuestra chica y con muy pioquinto drama, es mas solo me la pase sonriendo y suspirando por este libro.

[ENG] This book was ADORABLE, I had a goofy smile on my face while reading it because of how cute it was. 

She is a proposal planner (yes, as you read, even I didn't think this profession existed) and he is a college professor, they didn't start off well but little by little they became friends, Fletch helped Destiny a lot and she helped him a lot, the development of these characters was beautiful, while reading you will only find cute moments between them because even though Fletch says they are "just friends with benefits" you see his inner dilemma and his actions towards Destiny (which say more than a thousand words) and Destiny's strength to move forward is something to admire, I just wanted to give her a hug every time she talked about her parents. 

This book was a good ride, I loved it from start to finish, just sweet moments between these two, a close knit family that welcomed our girl and with very little drama, I just kept smiling and sighing for this book.
