[ESP] ¿Nuevo favorito de Tilly? Nuevo favorito porque Hannah y Maddox fueron dinamita pura.

La historia me encanto y si bien el second chance no es de mis tropes favoritos siento que aquí me gusto y mucho porque a pesar de que todo es por un malentendido no hay un gran drama por eso, además de que cuando por fin estos dos están juntos es lo mas hermoso que puede haber, él se preocupa tanto por ella y su familia que tenía ojos de enamorada por él, y ella ni se diga porque me encanto lo fuerte que es y lo elocuente que me pareció.

Esta historia sin duda pasa a ser una de mis favoritas por mucho y ya quiero leer el que sigue y todos los libros de esta autora.

I loved the story, and even though second chance isn't one of my favorite tropes, I felt that it worked really well here. Despite everything being based on a misunderstanding, there isn't excessive drama and when these two finally get together, it's the most beautiful thing to read. He cares so much about her and her family that I was looking at him with heart eyes, and as for her, I was impressed by her strength and eloquence.

This story has definitely become one of my favorites, and I'm already eager to read the next one and all the books by this author.

[ENG] I need someone to make a movie about this book. I mean, I really, really want to see Harry and Toby on the big screen because this story was EPIC, yes, that's the word: EPIC.

Harry and Toby are rivals in parliament. They don't get along, and their ideals are completely different. But due to life's twists, they end up on the same plane headed to a convention. Unfortunately, the plane encounters problems and crashes in the middle of the Scandinavian forest. However, not everything is as it seems, there are terrorists after them, and they have to escape. How do they do it? By venturing deeper into the forest with just a backpack containing a few survival essentials. You might think that's all there is to the book, but no. This story taught me so much and what struck me the most was how Toby and Harry survived it all without losing two crucial things: 1. their rivalry and 2. their way of thinking. For me, that was the central point: you can have different viewpoints from someone and still coexist, even under challenging circumstances.

This book was an adventure. I'm already eager to read it again. I fell in love with the personalities of these two men: their banter, their insults, but also how they looked out for each other.

Honestly, at this point, I believe Jax Calder hasn't written a bad book. Everything I've read from Jax has been BEAUTIFUL AND GOOD.

[ESP] Necesito que alguien haga una película sobre este libro, es que necesito no, me urge ver a Harry y Toby en la pantalla grande porque esta historia fue ÉPICA, si esa es la palabra, ÉPICA.

Harry y Toby son rivales en el parlamento, no se llevan bien y tienen ideales completamente distintos, por cosas de la vida tienen que tomar un avión juntos a una convención y dicho avión tiene problemas y se estrellan en medio del bosque escandinavo, pero no todo es lo que parece y son terroristas que están detrás de ellos y tienen que escapar y como lo hacen? ingresando mucho más en el bosque con solo una mochila con una que otra cosa para sobrevivir, se puede decir que de eso es todo lo que va el libro pero no, este libro me enseñó muchísimo, y pensé que ninguno me iba a gustar tanto como el anterior pero me equivoque. La manera en la que Toby y Harry sobrevivieron a todo pero sin perder: 1. la rivalidad y 2. la manera de pensar, y eso para mi fue todo el punto focal de esto: puedes tener puntos diferentes con alguien y aun así (y dadas las circunstancia en la que están) pueden convivir juntos.

Este libro fue una aventura, ya quiero volver a leerlo, las personalidades de estos dos hombres me encantaron, las bromas, sus insultos pero a la vez como se cuidaban.

A ver que a estas alturas yo creo que Jax Calder no tiene un libro malo porque todo lo que he leído de ella es HERMOSO Y BUENO.

Hotshot by Lane Hayes (The Elmwood Stories #5)

[ENG] I'm sorry, but I fell in love with Denny. This guy deserves to be protected and wrapped in a blanket because of how adorable he is. He's incredibly shy (mostly due to his anxiety issues) and loves being in his small town surrounded by friends and playing hockey (which he already does professionally). Since the previous book, I was intrigued by his character and I wanted to see how our little friend grew. Well, it surprised me… I think I grew very fond of him. He's just so easy to love. And even though Hank initially wanted to use him for his own commercial benefit, he realized that Denny had a big heart. Gradually, through small gestures (well, lest says small), Hank fell in love with him. These two were beautiful and pure dynamite together. Reading this book made me happy; it was quick and light. There's no major drama, just two happy people and a town that, despite their initial reservations about Hank, eventually welcomed him with open arms, realizing he wasn't as bad as they thought.

[ESP] Lo siento pero me enamore de Denny este chico merece ser protegido y envuelto en una manta de lo lindo que es, es un chico super tímido (pero más que todo por sus problemas con la ansiedad) que ama están en su pequeño pueblo rodeado de sus amigos y jugar hockey (el cual ya lo hace profesionalmente). Desde el libro anterior quedé intrigada por su personaje, quería ver como crecía nuestro pequeño amigo y vaya que me sorprendió… creo que le agarre mucho cariño pero es que se deja querer muy fácilmente y aunque Hank al principio lo quería usar para su propio beneficio comercial, se dio cuenta de que Denny tenía un gran corazón y poco a poco y con pequeñas proposiciones (digo pequeñas por decir) logró enamorarse de él y que manera de hacerlo, estos dos fueron hermosos y dinamita pura juntos. Me sentí feliz mientras leía este libro, fue rápido de leer y super ligero, no hay un gran drama solo dos personas felices y un pueblo que a pesar de todo lo que tenían en contra de Hank, le abrieron los brazos y vieron que él no era tan malo como creían.

[ENG] What made me cry this book? Oh my God, Sophie does it again, but this time the tears were a mix of joy and the feeling that my heart was shrinking because of this pair.

Jude and Brooke are friends who have been through a lot, and that's why they get along so well, they share a beautiful and mature friendship. Jude became a widower when his wife passed away, and he carries the guilt of not being enough for his children, even though his parents and his late wife's parents encourage him to move forward, he still feels it's not the right time. That's where Brooke comes in: she's his friend and, I dare say, confidante. Brooke also has a past where she won the battle against cancer but lost the possibility of having children, which plays a special role in shaping her personality and how she faces life. These two friends make an agreement to help each other with dating by creating online profiles. But little did they know about the intense chemistry they would share, not only emotionally but also sexually. I really appreciated seeing Brooke, despite her "issues" feeling comfortable and secure with Jude.

Regarding Jude's children, their portrayal felt authentic. Their feelings were heard, even though there was a small drama involving Jude's older son towards the end. It seemed like he was afraid of losing his father to someone else. After all, they had been a tight-knit trio for a long time. While that little drama caused Jude and Brooke to separate, I think it was a necessary step for them to become a lasting couple, and I liked that.

I find this author's writing to be genuine, which is why I enjoy her books. Although this story is light, it still moved me to tears and believe it or not, I liked that.

[ESP] ¿Lo que llore con este libro? Dios mío Sophie lo hace de nuevo pero esta vez las lágrimas fueron entre alegría y entre que mi corazón se hacía pequeño por este par.

Jude y Brooke son amigos, han pasado por mucho y por eso se llevan tan bien y comparten una amistad de lo más linda y madura. Jude quedó viudo cuando su esposa murió y se hizo cargo de sus dos hijos, y siente esa culpa por no ser suficientes para sus hijos, aun cuando sus padres y las de su difunta esposa le dicen que sigan adelante él siente que aún no es tiempo, allí entra Brooke que es su amiga y hasta puedo decir confidente, ella también tiene un pasado donde ganó la batalla contra el cáncer pero perdió la posibilidad de tener hijos y creo que eso juega un rol muy especial en toda su personalidad y cómo la afronta, estos dos amigos llega a un acuerdo de ayudarse el uno al otro con las citas y crean cuentas en sitios online, pero oh ellos no contaban con la gran quimica que tenian porque no solo son buenos en los sentimientos entre ellos sino también sexualmente, y me gusto mucho ver a Brooke que aún y sus “problemas” se sentia comoda y segura con Jude.

Con el aspecto de los niños de Jude, lo sentí real, sus sentimientos fueron escuchados aun cuando al final hubo un pequeño drama con el hijo mayor de Jude siento que él tenía miedo de perder también a su papá por otra persona, ya que bueno han sido ellos tres por mucho tiempo, si bien ese pequeño drama hace que Jude y Brooke se separan siento que eran lo que necesitaban, siento que fue un paso para ser una pareja duradera y eso me gusto.

Creo que la escritura de esta autora se siente real y por eso me gustan sus libros, esta historia si bien es ligera me hizo soltar varias lágrimas y eso aunque no lo crean me gusto.

[ENG] When I started reading this book, I didn't think I would love it as much as I did. See, when they told me it was about a hockey player set in a small town (the perfect combination), I just had to read it right away and well, it exceeded all my expectations.

Chord and Violet captivated me, their relationship began slowly. She, as his new assistant, had to travel to his family's estate to do her job, all while he reconciled with his family after being away due to his career. But, of course, things don't always go as planned, and feelings, oh, the feelings! inevitably come into play. These two were like a small flame that grew stronger, not only romantically but also individually. Their character development was so beautiful that I just wanted to keep reading. Surprisingly, the ending was my favorite part, you witness how they've grown as a couple, understanding what's best for them and, oh my, the tears! Every scene, every word exchanged between them. Chord's desire to fulfill all of Violet's dreams made me think, "I wish I had someone like that"

Overall, this story was good. The family, despite their initial problems, reached an understanding. There wasn't a major drama, it was light-hearted and, yes, quite funny.

[ESP] Cuando empecé a leer este libro no pensé que me iba a gustar tanto como me gusto, a ver que cuando me dicen que el es un jugador de hockey y de paso está ambientando en un pueblo pequeño (la combinación perfecta) tenía que leerlo pero ya y bueno, superó cada una de mis expectativas.

Chord y Violet me encantaron, su relación empezó lentamente. Ella siendo su nueva asistente tiene que viajar hasta la finca de la familia de él para hacer su trabajo, todo mientras él hace las paces con su familia luego de estar alejado de ellos por su carrera pero oh no todo es como se espera y obvio que tienen que haber sentimientos y que sentimientos!! Estos dos fueron como una pequeña flama que agarra fuerzas, y no solo románticamente si no individualmente, los dos tuvieron un desarrollo de personaje tan hermoso que solo quería seguir leyéndolos. La parte final aunque no lo crean fue la que mas me gusto porque ves cómo crecieron como pareja y saben lo que es mejor para ellos y dios mío lo que llore, cada escena de este libro, cada palabra entre ellos, como Chord quería cumplir todos los sueños de Violet y yo solo pensaba “ojala tener a alguien así”

En general esta historia fue buena, la familia aunque al principio tenían sus problemas llegaron a un acuerdo y me gusto, no hay un gran drama, fue super ligera y si, también divertida.

Fallen Stars by Persephone Autumn (Stone Bay #3)

[ENG] First of all, I want to highlight that despite this book not appearing to be a dark romance (and I don't think it is), it touches VERY HEAVY themes, the author takes the suspense to another level, and there were moments when I had to stop reading because of how intense it was. READ the content warnings for this book before starting.

Now, about the story: BUT WHAT A STORY! I had been eagerly anticipating this book since I found out it would be an MM romance combined with my love for the previous book and the author's writing style that I was thrilled when I finally read it and it didn't disappoint. The story of Oliver and Levi had me in tears late at night (and not the pretty kind), but it was absolutely worth it.

Two friends who cared for each other but couldn't act on their feelings (believing the other felt nothing) because Levi's family is wealthy and Oliver's isn't, social differences? I guess but that didn't stop a beautiful friendship forming between them. As the years pass, Levi works in his own security and investigation company with one of his closest friends. Now, here's where things get darker: he has to investigate the disappearance of a teenager and he gets so deeply involved in the case that you feel everything he's feeling reading every word, every search hurts and buries him in a dark place and as a reader, you experience that too. Meanwhile, in the middle of all this, he's trying to have a relationship with Oliver, our guy, the local band's drummer, and one of the best characters I've ever read. Their relationship is beautiful because it's full of emotions, and I loved that Levi didn't stay quiet in front of his family... I was rooting for him all the time!!

While I don't want to give you spoilers (I may edit this review later and post them) it has a tremendous plot twist that I didn't see coming, that left me staring at the wall for minutes processing everything and I tell you that alone made me give it this rating.

I liked the ending, it left me without emotional stability but I liked it, I liked seeing previous characters being happy and good friends for Oliver and Levi. Without a doubt this book left a big mark on me.

I say again, read the content warnings before you start reading.

[ESP] Primero que nada quiero destacar que a pesar de que este libro no se ve como un dark romance (y no creo que lo sea) toca temas MUY FUERTES, el suspenso la autora lo lleva a otro nivel, hubo momentos en los que tuve que dejar de leer por lo fuerte que son, lean las advertencias de contenido de este libro antes de empezar a leerlo.

Ahora con la historia: ¡PERO QUÉ HISTORIA! A ver, que yo estaba esperando este libro desde hace un tiempo desde que supe que sería un mm romance, además de que el libro anterior me gusto mucho y sumándole a eso la forma de escribir de la autora me encantó y ahora que por fin lo leí no me decepcionó, la historia de Oliver y Levi me hizo llorar en medio de la noche (y no un llanto bonito) pero valió completamente la pena.

Dos amigos, que se querían pero no podían hacer nada (y entre ellos creían que el otro no sentía nada) ya que la familia de Levi es rica y la de Olivier no ¿diferencias sociales? díganos que si pero eso no impidió que una amistad hermosa se formará entre ellos, pasan los años y Levi trabaja en su propia empresa de seguridad e investigación con uno de sus amigos más cercanos, ahora aquí es donde todo se pone más oscuro porque el tiene que investigar la desaparición de una adolescente, él se mete tanto en la investigación que tu sientes todo lo que él está sintiendo, cómo leer cada palabra, cada búsqueda le hacía daño y lo enterraba en un lugar oscuro pero tu como lector sientes eso también y mientras todo eso está pasando, está intentando tener una relación con Oliver, nuestro chico, nuestro baterista de la banda local y una de las mejores personas que pude leer, su relación es bonita porque vuelos sentimientos y me encanto que Levi no se quedara callado, yo solo estaba animando por el.

Si bien no quiero darles spoiler (puede ser que más adelante edite esta reseña y los coloque) tiene un tremendo plot twist que no vi venir, que me dejó mirando a la pared por minutos terminando de procesar todo y les digo que solo eso hizo que le diera esta calificación.

El final me gusto, me dejo sin estabilidad emocional pero me gusto, me gusto ver a personajes anteriores siendo felices y buenos amigos para Oliver y Levi, sin duda este libro dejó una gran marca en mi.

The Lumberjack by Susan Stoker (Game of Chance, #4)

[ENG] To Be honest, this book felt like going back to around 2016 when I had a slight obsession with military romance novels, and I don't complain about it at all because I enjoyed it. April is our main protagonist, already in her forties and with a job she loves, but she has an accident that causes her to lose her memory. This is where JJ, our other protagonist, comes in, he's younger than her and her boss. Before the accident, they both had feelings for each other but didn't act on them. You know how it goes: you don't realize what you have until you lose it, and JJ makes that clear when he takes care of April. Now, the first part of this book bored me a little, to be honest, but after the 40% mark, everything takes a turn, and I couldn't go to sleep until I finished it. There's action (and even though this book doesn’t have trigger warnings at the beginning, I can say it has some moments that might evoke strong emotions, so proceed with caution), as everyone comes together, they form a great family. This is the first book I've read by this author, and I liked it. Obviously I'll read the rest of this series (even though I know they all end happily). In terms of romance, April's relationship with JJ was sweet and good, they were a perfect match and that little piece of their story in the general epilogue? Loved it. A story that didn't grab me much at the beginning, but I'm glad I kept reading because it turned out to be quite a good one!

[ESP] Siendo honesta este libro fue como estar de vuelta por allá en los 2016 cuando tenía una pequeña obsesión con los libros de romance militar, y no me quejo en ningún momento porque me gusto. April es nuestra protagonista principal, ya en sus 40 y con un trabajo que ama pero tiene un accidente que hace que pierda la memoria y aquí es donde entra JJ nuestro protagonista, que es menor que ella y su jefe, los dos antes del accidente tenían sentimientos entre ellos pero no hacían nada, pero vamos que uno no sabe lo que tiene hasta que lo pierde y eso lo deja claro JJ cuando se hace cargo de April, ahora bien la primera parte de este libro me aburrió un poco si soy honesta, pero ya luego del 40% todo toma un giro que no pude irme a dormir hasta terminarlo, la acción (y aunque este libro no tiene trigger warnings al principio pero puedo decir que tiene algunos que pueden desencadenar algo así que vayan con cuidado), como todos se reúnen y son una gran familia, a ver que este es el primer libro que leo de esta autora y me gusto y obviamente me leeré los primero de esta serie (aun cuando sé que todos terminan felices). En lo romántico la relación de April con JJ fue buena y linda, los dos eran tal para cual y me gusto mucho su pedacito de historia en el epílogo general. Una historia que aunque no me atrapó mucho al principio, menos mal que seguí leyendo porque que historia mas buena!

Boyfriend Goals by Riley Hart

[ESP] Es bueno volver al lugar donde uno fue feliz y para mi Milo y Gideon son ese espacio seguro. Su relación es de las más bonita que puede haber, no solo en lo romántico si no en lo seguro que se siente Milo con Gideon, en lo bonito que se siente leer como todos en la isla aceptan a Milo tal y como es. Su personalidad es de las más únicas que he leído (y no solo porque es neurodivergente) si no en la manera que ve todo a su alrededor pero aún así con la confianza que a muchos nos hace falta, a ver digamos que aprendí mucho de él y se volvió uno de mis personajes favoritos por mucho. Gideon por otro lado me encanto también, lo bonito que fue con Milo además de defenderlo cuando creía que estaba siendo injusto con él (creía es la palabra clave porque todos en el pueblo fueron un amor) lo concentrado que era, es que les digo que no puedo decir nada malo de este libro y de seguro pasará a ser una de esas lecturas obligatorias cada año.

[ENG] Returning to the place where one was happy is a good thing, and for me, Milo and Gideon represent that safe space. Their relationship is one of the most beautiful things imaginable: not only romantically, but also in how secure Milo feels with Gideon. It's heartwarming to see everyone on the island accepting Milo just as he is. His personality is one of the most unique I have read (not only because he’s neurodivergent) but also because of the way he perceives the world, exudes confidence that many of us could use. Let's just say I learned a lot from him, and he became one of my favorite characters. As for Gideon, he also captured my heart, the way he treated Milo, defending him when he believed that the people was being unfair to him (believed is the key word here because everyone in the town was incredibly supportive), and his unwavering focus, all of it makes me unable to find any faults in this book. I'm certain it will become one of those must-reads every year.
