[ENG] OMG????? This book kept me reading late into the night, and it was totally worth it! 

Jude and Amelia’s story is explosive, it’s exciting, it’s the kind you just can’t put down. Amelia, our protagonist, finds herself caught up in her twin brother’s gambling debts. She quickly learns to play poker by counting cards, and that’s where she meets the enigmatic Jude. Let me tell you, the suspense here is VERY WELL WRITTEN, the entire journey from the first part to the second was spectacular, but I have to admit that the second part broke my heart for Amelia. Jude was a character who really surprised me, and without giving too much away, there was a moment when I didn’t like him, but at the same time, I understood why. 

The twists I didn’t see coming, the romance I loved, a drama I enjoyed even though that might sound strange, without a doubt, a story I thoroughly enjoyed reading.

[ESP] OMG????? este libro me mantuvo leyendo hasta altas horas de la noche y valió completamente la pena! 

La historia de Jude y Amelia es explosiva, es emocionante, es de esas que no quieres parar de leer. Amelia, nuestra protagonista se ve embarcada en el problema de su hermano gemelo y sus deudas de juego, ella aprende rápidamente a jugar poker contando cartas y allí es donde conoce al enigmático Jude, déjenme decirles que el suspenso acá esta MUY BIEN ESCRITO, todo el viaje de la primera parte hacia la segunda fue espectacular, pero debo de admitir que la segunda parte me partió el corazón por Amelia. Jude fue un personaje que me sorprendió mucho, y sin decir mucho spoiler hubo un momento en donde no me cayo bien, pero a la vez, entendí el porque. 

Los giros que no vi venir, el romance que me encanto, un drama que me gusto aunque eso se lea raro, sin duda una historia que disfrute leyendo.

[ENG] Oh, this story was great! Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down, Matteo and Miles just stole my heart.

Even though tennis isn’t a sport I follow or particularly like, this book made me want to watch it, and let’s just say I blame our protagonists. Matteo is a professional tennis player returning to the game after being absent due to an accident. His mind is all over the place, and since this book is told entirely from his point of view, I was able to really connect with him, his fears, his professional demeanor, and the weight of being the only queer player in the league. Enter Miles, another professional player but in a higher position than Matteo. For me, Miles was exactly what Matteo needed to get out of his own head; those little domestic scenes did it for me, not to mention the steamy scenes because yes, there were plenty of them and they were great.

The romance was good; I would have liked to read Miles’s thoughts, but the author managed to give us that feeling just from Matteo’s POV. Now, without giving too much away, there’s one thing that kept me from giving it a perfect rating, and that was the drama near the end, but other than that, everything was great and that ending? Splendid.

For the author’s debut in this genre, I can say she knocked it out of the park, and I can’t wait to read more from her.

[ESP] Oh, esta historia fue buena! desde que la empecé no pude parar de leer y es que Matteo y Miles se robaron mi corazón.

Si bien el tenis no es un deporte que sigo o me guste, este libro me creó una necesidad de verlo y digamos que culpo a nuestros protagonistas. Matteo es un jugador de tenis profesional que regresa al juego luego de estar ausente por un accidente, su mente está por todos lados y al ser este un libro contado enteramente desde su punto de vista pude conectar mucho con él, sus miedos, su modo profesional, además del peso que conlleva ser el único jugador queer de la liga. Entra Miles, otro jugador profesional pero en una posición más elevada que Matteo, para mi Miles fue todo lo que necesitaba Matteo para salir de su cabeza, esas pequeñas escenas domésticas lo hicieron para mi y ni se digan las escenas spicy que sí, fueron muchas y buenas.

El romance fue bueno, me hubiera gustado leer los pensamientos de Miles pero la autora supo darnos esa sensación solo del pov de Matteo, ahora bien, sin decir mucho spoiler hay una cosa que me hizo no darle una calificación perfecta y fue el drama casi al final, pero de resto, todo bien además ¿ese final? espléndido.

Para ser el debut de la autora en este género puedo decir que la sacó del estadio y no puedo esperar a leer más de ella.

[ENG] Seriously, this book exceeded all my expectations!!

I just LOVED Josh and Celine!! oh my gosh, I was so happy reading this book, every single scene. Seeing Celine being SO REAL??? I’m telling you, my heart felt happy, sad, joyful, EVERY EMOTION WHILE READING THIS BOOK!! Josh’s relationship with Julian, Celine’s youngest son, was what really sealed the deal for me with this book. The portrayal of neurodiversity is very special to me, and this book is simply perfect in that regard and not just with them, but also how he won over Celine’s older daughters. This whole beautiful “found family” was what I loved most, and I’m telling you, I fell head over heels for it.

The suspense is something you see coming, yes, but God, how I loved it, and to be honest, THANK GOODNESS I DECIDED TO READ IT, a solid five stars for me.

[ESP] Stop que este libro supero todas mis expectativas!!

Josh y Celine me ENCANTARON, dios mío, fue demasiado feliz leyendo este libro, cada escena,. ver a Celine siendo TAN REAL??? es que les digo que mi corazón estuve feliz, triste, alegre, TODAS LAS EMOCIONES LEYENDO ESTE LIBRO!! La relación de Josh con Julian, el hijo pequeño de Celine fue lo que termino de cerrar este libro para mi, la representación de la neurodiversidad es muy especial para mi y este libro es simplemente perfecto ene se aspecto, y no solo en ellos, si no como el se gano el cariño de las hijas mayores de Celine, todo este found family hermoso fue lo que mas me gusto y les digo que enamorada quede.

El suspenso es uno que ves venir, si, pero Dios como me gusto, y siendo honesta GRACIAS A LOS DIOSES ME DECIDI A LEERLO, un cinco estrellas seguro para mi.

[ENG] You know what? I'm the easiest person to convince to like a book/audiobook enough to give it five stars, and this story was everything I wanted to hear and more. It made me think a lot, it made me feel uncomfortable, it made me feel so many things about death that it simply deserves this rating.

I liked the first book, and I had a feeling I'd like this one too, but I didn't think I'd like it this much. When Nora, our protagonist, receives the file about her twin brother's death, she does everything possible to prevent it, even though it goes against her job. But come on, he's the only family she has left. The two embark on an adventure to hide from death and end up in a small town in Nova Scotia that hides many secrets (spoiler alert if I say more, so I'll stop there). The siblings' relationship was something I identified with, and I think that's why it resonated with me so much.

The narrator did an excellent job bringing each character to life; I liked her voice and how she expressed each scene with such good understanding that the experience of listening to her narrate the story was sooo good.

[ESP] ¿Saben? yo soy la mas fácil de convencer para que un libro/audiolibro me guste tanto para ponerle cinco estrellas y esta historia fue todo lo que quería escuchar y mas; me hizo pensar mucho, me hizo sentir incomoda, me hizo sentir tantas cosas respecto a la muerte que por eso simplemente se lleva esta calificación.

El primer libro me gusto y tenia la sospecha que este me gustaría pero no pensé que tanto. Cuando a Nora, nuestra protagonista le llega el expediente del fallecimiento de su hermano gemela, ella hace toso lo posible para que eso no suceda, aun cuando va en contra de su trabajo, pero vamos, es la única familia que le queda. Los dos se embarcan en una aventura para poder esconderse de la muerte y terminan en un pequeño pueblo de Nueva Escocia que esconde muchos secretos (spoiler si digo mas, así que hasta aquí lo dejo), la relación de los hermanos fue algo en lo cual me sentí identificada y creo que por eso me pego mucho.

La narradora hizo un excelente trabajo dándole vida a cada personaje, me gusto su voz y como expresaba cada escena con tan buen entendimiento que la experiencia escuchándola narrando la historia fue muy buena.

[ENG] Reaching the end of this series is a bit bittersweet because I really, really liked it, and this was my first time reading this author’s work. I don’t want to say goodbye to the Fletcher family, but I feel like this was the perfect book to wrap it up.

Everly is that character we’ve seen since Book One, the Mountain Men’s niece who did everything to ensure her uncles got their happy ending, so it makes sense that she gets hers too, right? And for me, Wolf was the perfect match for her. The two got off on the wrong foot back in college, but there’s a bigger context to it all (which I liked), and for various reasons, Wolf ends up working at Everly’s family’s animal rescue center. Let’s just say it was fate because for me, it was.

The story took a quick turn from there, but for the better. I feel like the romance was everything I hoped for, and to be honest, I really liked that even though Everly’s uncles were so overprotective, they opened their arms to Wolf and accepted him into the family (I have to admit that little Steve was the one who stole Wolf’s and my heart). Our protagonists make a great couple, and everyone agreed on that.

For the ending, I feel like Everly got her happy ending, the one she truly deserved. I loved everything about it, and I hope to read a little more from this author because I definitely fell in love with the way she wrote this series

[ESP] Llegar al final de esta serie es un poco agridulce porque me gusto y mucho y este fue mi primer acercamiento con la escritura de esta autora, no quiero decirle adiós a la familia Fletcher pero siento que este fue el perfecto libro para cerrarlo.

Everly es ese personaje que vemos desde el libro uno, la sobrina de los Mountain Men que hizo todo para que sus tíos tuvieran su final feliz así que es lógico que ella consiga su final feliz ¿no? y para mí Wolf fue el perfecto compañero para ella. Los dos empezaron con el pie izquierdo desde que estaban en la universidad pero todo tiene un contexto más grande (lo cual me gusto) y por cosas Wolf termina trabajando en el centro de rescate animal de la familia de Everly, digamos que fue el destino, porque para mi lo fue.

La historia después de allí tomo un giro rápido pero para bien, siento que el romance fue todo lo que esperaba y a decir verdad me gusto mucho que siendo los tíos de Everly tan sobreprotectores, le abrieron los brazos a Wolf y lo aceptaron en la familia (debo admitir que la pequeña Steve fue la que se llevó el cariño completo de Wolf y el mío). Nuestros protagonistas hacen una buena pareja y todos estaban de acuerdo con eso.

Para ser el final, siento que Everly tuvo su final feliz y el que de verdad se merecía, todo me gusto y espero seguir leyendo un poco más a esta autora porque sin duda me enamoró su forma de escribir esta serie.

[ENG] Oh, this was a fun read. I don’t usually read monster romance, but I’m familiar with this author’s writing, and just as I expected: I really liked it! The story is simple and short, easy to read, but don’t be fooled even though there isn’t a major plot, it touches on themes related to the workplace that I liked how the author handled, plus there isn’t any huge drama (other than our protagonist, if you know what I mean jaja). It was super easy to read, fun, diverse, it was a good read.

[ESP] Oh, este fue divertido de leer, no soy de leer Monster romance pero conozco la escritura del autor y como predije: ¡me gustó mucho! La historia es sencilla y corta, fácil de leer pero no se dejen llevar si bien no hay un gran plot tiene temas sobre la vida laboral que me gusto como el autor los manejo además de que no hay un drama gigante (más que nuestro protagonista si saben a lo que me refiero jaja). Fue super fácil de leer, divertido, diverso, fue una buena lectura.

[ENG] Oh my goodness, this book was BEAUTIFUL, the story, the characters, discovering who we are, I LOVED EVERYTHING about it. From the very first pages, it grabs you (and what a way to start a book). Then we discover our two protagonists, two women in their 40s trying to figure things out: one discovering what it feels like to truly be herself and the other trying to find out what happened to her missing mother. The two of them gave me a BEAUTIFUL story, that slow burn was PERFECT, the two were soulmates, and I love that they found each other again. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about this book. I had the best time reading it.

[ESP] Oh god este libro fue HERMOSO, la historia, los personajes, el descubrir nuestra persona, TODO ME ENCANTO, a ver que desde las primeras paginas te atrapa (y que manera de empezar un libro) luego vamos descubriendo a nuestras dos protagonistas, dos mujeres en sus 40 tratando de descubrir: una descubriendo que se siente ser verdaderamente ella misma y la otra tratando de descubrir que paso con su madre desaparecida, las dos me dieron una historia HERMOSA, ese slow burn fue PERFECTO, las dos fueron almas gemelas y amo que se reencontraran. Nada malo que decir de este libro la verdad, pase el mejor de los ratos leyéndolo.

Murder on the Clock by Lucy Connelly (Mercy McCarthy Mystery #4)

[ENG] Returning to the world of Mercy McCarthy is a pleasure, and this case kept me on the edge of my seat, making for a much better read. This book brings us another case in the small Irish town where our favorite twin sisters live. Mr. Flynn falls unconscious and our Mercy helps him, but oh, his son is missing, and this is where it all begins (it's a little more complex than that, but I don't want to give any spoilers). When I say it kept me on the edge of my seat, I mean it did. I had my suspicions, but every time (and as a bad detective that I am) they were wrong. 

The ending was explosive, as only Mercy can make it, and now we continue with the mystery of her father. I have my doubts about whether or not he is the person who is following them, but we'll see in the next book.

[ESP] Volver al mundo de Mercy McCarthy es un placer y con este caso que me mantuvo en vilo leyendo mucho mejor. Este libro nos trae otro caso en el pequeño pueblo de irlanda donde nuestras hermanas gemelas favoritas viven, Mr. Flynn cae inconsciente y nuestra Mercy lo ayuda, pero oh su hijo está desaparecido y acá es donde todo comienza (es un poco más complejo que eso pero no quiero dar spoilers), cuando digo que me tuvo en vilo es porque así lo fue, tenía mis sospechas pero cada vez (y como mala detective que soy) no eran correctas.

El desenlace fue explosivo como solo Mercy lo puede hacer y ahora bien, seguimos con el misterio de su padre que tengo mis dudas sobre si es o no la persona que las está siguiendo pero ya veremos en el próximo libro.

 

Death at Inishmore Castle by Lucy Connelly (Mercy McCarthy Mystery, #3)

[ENG] We are back with the McCarthy sisters and this time in an adventure in an OLD CASTLE! You can't imagine how much I was looking forward to this book and it gave me everything I got from the previous ones.

 From the mystery to our Mercy trying to solve it, come on, where she goes, trouble goes. This time the murder of a "father" in the castle in the middle of a storm makes our protagonist take matters into her own hands until the authorities arrive. 

This book I feel was a little more graphic (so to speak) than the previous one, I feel there was more mystery and a little more of the tone I'm used to in these books and I liked it, the writing has evolved as we go deeper into the story that by the looks of it (and the little mystery at the end) will be for many more books (and I'm here for it).

I can't imagine what else is in store for us in the adventures of these sisters.

[ESP] Volvemos otra vez con las hermanas McCarthy y esta vez en una aventura en un CASTILLO ANTIGUO! no se imaginan lo mucho que esperaba este libro y me dio todo lo que me dieron los anteriores. 

Desde el misterio hasta nuestra Mercy tratando de resolverlo, vamos que a donde va ella, van los problemas. Esta vez el asesinato de un “Padre” en el castillo en medio de una tormenta hace que nuestra protagonista tome cartas en el asunto hasta que lleguen las autoridades. 

Este libro siento que fue un poco mas ¿grafico?(por así decirlo) que el anterior, siento que hubo más misterio y un poco subido de tono del cual estoy acostumbrada de estos libros y me gusto, la escritura se ve que ha evolucionado a medida que nos vamos adentrando en la historia que por lo que se ve (y el pequeño misterio del final) será para muchos más libros (y estoy aquí para ello).

Sin duda no puedo ver que más nos esperan en las aventuras de estas hermanas.

[ENG] How do I even begin to talk about this book that made me rethink so many things? This book wasn’t “just a book” it was a story, it was a lesson, and honestly, calling it my new favorite book doesn’t even begin to do it justice.

Andrew and Nicki stole my heart; they’re two characters I didn’t know I needed to read about until now. Their story, their romance, was everything good in this world, and if you’re reading this, let me tell you that I’m not objective because by the first two chapters I was already crying for Andrew, and he became my new protegé. The whole story was an emotional rollercoaster, tears here, laughter there, EVERYTHING. I couldn’t stop reading for a single moment; I stayed up all night reading, but at the same time, I didn’t want it to end.

These two main characters are complex; they have their flaws, but that’s what made them feel real to me. The author wrote each chapter with such care and love that I fell completely in love with it (yes, even with Nicki in the early chapters). The portrayal of neurodiversity was among the best I’ve ever read, and I loved every scene, every moment of understanding. These two characters were soulmates—exactly what each needed, even if they didn’t realize it. The “found family” dynamic was beautiful, the Kings are the kind of family you wish were your own, the kind you know will be there through thick and thin, and that was fully evident here.

I’m sad to say goodbye to the King brothers, but this book was the perfect way to wrap up the series on a high note.

[ESP] ¿Cómo empezar con este libro que me hizo replantearme muchas cosas? Este libro no fue “solo un libro” fue una historia, fue una enseñanza y de verdad que me quedo corta al decir que es mi nuevo libro favorito.

Andrew y Nicki se robaron mi corazón, son dos personajes que no sabía que necesitaba leer hasta ahora, su historia, su romance fue todo lo bueno que hay en este mundo y si estas leyendo esto dejame decirte que no soy objetiva porque desde los primeros dos capítulos ya estaba llorando por Andrew y se convirtió en mi nuevo protegido. Toda la historia fue un sube y baja de emociones, lágrimas aquí, risas allí, TODO. No pude parar de leer NI UN MOMENTO, me desvele toda la noche leyendo pero a la misma vez no quería que terminara.

Estos dos protagonistas son complejos, tienen sus defectos pero eso los hizo reales para mi, la autora escribió con tanto cuidado y amor cada capítulo que me enamore completamente (si, hasta de Nicki en los primeros capítulos), la representación de la nurodiversidad fue de los mejores que he leido y ame cada escena, cada entendimiento, estos dos personajes fueron almas gemelas, lo que necesitaban y no sabían que necesitaban. El found family fue hermoso, los Kings son esa familia que quieres que sea tuya, son esa familia que sabes que estaran alli en las buena y en las malas y aquí se vio completamente.

Ando triste por decirle adiós a los hermanos King pero este libro fue la mejor forma de cerrar esta serie con broche de oro.

 

All's Fair in Love and Pizza by Lane Hayes

[ENG] This was a good one. Our main characters: Mateo, the owner of the pizzeria, and Rob, the owner of the bagel shop that opens right next door, are locked in a rivalry from the very start and let’s just say things stay that way until they realize they have “feelings” for each other. The truth is, this book was a good read, fast-paced, without much drama and the rivalry is really only at the beginning. I really liked the “found family” aspect of this book, and the way the author wrote Rob’s coming out was well done.

[ESP] Este fue uno bueno, nuestros protagonistas: Mateo: dueño de la pizzería y Rob: dueño de la tienda de bagels que abre justo al lado de la pizzería se enfrentan en una rivalidad desde el primer momento y digamos que así va todo hasta que ven que tienen “sentimientos” entre ellos. La verdad es que este libro fue bueno de leer, rápido, sin mucho drama, y lo de la rivalidad casi solo es al principio, me gusto mucho el aspecto de found family que hay en este libro y la manera en que la autora escribió el coming out de Rob fue bueno.

[ENG] I can always count on this author to give me books that are low drama and sweet, and this book was definitely no exception.

The story of Jonathan and Alfie (I love that name, btw) was beautiful; it felt REAL, and that’s what I liked most: two adults meeting, going out, and falling in love with each other. Two adults who respect each other and love every little thing about one another; honestly, I have nothing but praise for them (and the secondary characters). Their personalities were lovely, and the author even made me look up miniature games and wow!

This is definitely a book that will become one of my favorites because of how beautiful it was, and I ALREADY WANT TO READ THE SECOND ONE! I have a feeling I’ll like it twice as much!

[ESP] Siempre puedo confiar en esta autora para que me de libros con muy bajo drama y dulces y este libro sin duda no fue la excepción.

La historia de Jonathan y Alfie (amo ese nombre btw) fue hermosa, la sentí REAL y eso fue lo que mas me gusto, dos adultos encontrándose, saliendo y enamorándose el uno del otro. Dos adultos donde se respetan y les gusta cada detalle del otro, de verdad que no tengo nada modelo que decir de ellos (y de los personajes secundarios). Sus personalidades fueron encantadoras, la autora hasta me hizo investigar sobre los juegos en miniatura y wow!

Sin duda este es un libro que pasará a ser mis favoritos por lo hermoso que fue y YA QUIERO LEER EL SEGUNDO! ¡Siento que me gustara el doble!

[ENG] This book left me sighing. Just like the first book in this series, it was a pleasure to read the story of Jackson and Delilah. From the very first pages, my heart went little to these two, but seeing how they faced everything made it one of the best books I've read by this author.

The romance was beautiful, the push and pull between the two, but at the same time, that imminent attraction... sighs, I tell you. The personal issues they both faced were so real that, as I said, my heart ached for them, but I'm glad everything ended well and in the best way possible.

This couple became my favorite of the author's, and I can't wait to reread them!

[ESP] Este libro solo me dejo suspirando. Tal cual el primer libro de esta serie, fue un placer leer la historia de Jackson y Delilah, desde las primeras paginas estaba con el corazón pequeño por estos dos pero ver como afrontaron todo lo hizo uno de los mejores libros que he leido de esta autora.

El romance fue hermoso, el tira y afloja de los dos, pero a la misma vez, esa atracción inminete... suspiros le digo. Los temas personales que enfrentan los dos fueron tan reales que como dije: tenia el corazón chiquito pero me alegro que todo acabara bien y de la mejor manera.

Este par se volvió mi favorito de la autora, ya quiero volverlos a releer!

[ENG] This book was everything I didn’t know I needed. Bailey, Hunter and Aiden were explosive together, they were everything.

The story is beautiful, without much drama, just understanding, love, and resilience. It’s a story that filled me with joy and touched my heart; the characters (each and every one of them) were beautifully written. Each of them and their individual stories were the icing on the cake because of everything they made me feel.

The steamy scenes were so well written that I really enjoyed them. The trans representation was the best and something we need today; it was BEAUTIFUL and we should read something like this every day.

I honestly have nothing bad to say about this book; I feel like it’s become my favorite in the entire series and my favorite book by this author.

[ESP] Este libro fue todo lo que no sabia que necesitaba, Bailey, Hunter y Aiden fueron explosivos juntos, fueron todo.

La historia es hermosa, sin mucho drama, solo entendimiento, amor y resiliencia. Una historia que me lleno de alegría, que me llego al corazón, los personajes (cada uno de ellos) fueron hermosamente escritos. Cada uno y sus historias individuales fueron la cereza del pastel por todo lo que me hicieron sentir.

Las escenas spicy fueron tan bien escritas que las disfrute mucho. La representación trans fue lo mejor y algo que necesitamos hoy en día, fue HERMOSA y deberíamos leer todos los días algo así.

De verdad que no tengo nada malo que decir de este libro, siento que se volvió mi favorito de toda la serie y mi favorito escrito por la autora.

[ENG] This book was everything I wanted and so much more! I laughed, cried, fell in love, and laughed again with all these wonderful characters.

Zoey and Gage are complete opposites, but to me they were (are) soulmates, the calm and the chaos in each other. I identified so much with Zoey; she’s one of those protagonists you just want to give a huge hug, but I’m glad to know she has an excellent friend in Hazel and now, a whole town behind her. Gage, on the other hand, I fell in love with from the start, the more "grounded" Bishop brother, but one who understood Zoey right from the beginning. These two were perfect for me (even with the drama near the end).

Now, the stars of this book were Nana and Pepe; those two beautiful animals had me laughing out loud, the whole town, really and that’s what I love about this author’s writing style (she’s one of my favorites).

The romance was beautiful, the setting was beautiful, the truth is, I have nothing bad to say about this book or the narrators, who, in my opinion, did an excellent job. Every expression, every feeling they conveyed it all to me so well that I was simply immersed in the work as I listened.

[ESP] Este libro fue todo lo que quería y mucho mas! Me reí, llore, me enamore y me voli a reír con todos estos hermosos personajes.

Zoey y Gage son completamente opuestos pero para mi fueron (son) almas gemelas, la calma y el caos de cada uno, Me identifique tanto con Zoey, es de esas protagonistas que solo quieres darle un abrazo enorme, pero me alegra saber que tiene una amiga excelente en Hazel y ahora, todo un pueblo que la respalda. Gage por el otro lado me enamoro desde un principio, el hermano Bishop mas "centrado", pero que desde un principio entendió a Zoey. Estos dos fueron perfectos para mi (aun con el drama ya casi al final)

Ahora bien, las estrellas de este libro fueron Nana y Pepe, esos dos hermosos animales me sacaron unas buenas risas, todo el pueblo en realidad y eso, eso es lo que me gusta de la forma de escribir de esta autora (de mis favoritas)

El romance fue hermoso, la ambientación fue hermosa, la verdad es que no tengo nada malo que decir de este libro o los narradores que para mi, hicieron un trabajo excelente, cada expresión, cada sentimiento, todo me lo trasmitieron que simplemente esta inmersa en el trabajo escuchando.

[ENG] First of all, the narrators were spectacular! I understood them perfectly, how they brought the characters to life, how they conveyed every emotion, without a doubt this will be one of my favorite audiobooks.

Now with Hazel and Cam's story, I can say that I loved it, from the first time they met I was laughing my head off with them. Our Hazel is a writer who has writer's block after going through a bad divorce, she goes to live in the small town of Story Lake with her best friend Zoey (who is also her agent) in search of inspiration for her next book, she crosses paths with Cam and this is where (I say) the whole journey of laughs, tears, but most of all a lot of laughs begins.

The story is simple, it's 16 hours long, but it feels super light and even more so when I listened to it at work, I had such a silly grin on my face that many of my co-workers asked me why. The story was beautiful, the renovation of the house, the town people who won all my affection, THE ROMANCE!!!! Gosh, it was slow but sure.

No doubt Lucy Score knows how to write a book set in small towns, because what I am, I want to live in Story Lake.

[ESP] Primero, los narradores fueron espectaculares! los entendí perfectamente, como le daban vida a los personajes, como me transmitieron cada emoción, sin duda pasa a ser uno de mis audiolibros favoritos.

Ahora con la historia de Hazel y Cam, puedo decir que me encantó, desde el primer encuentro de ellos dos solo estaba muerta de la risa con ellos dos. Nuestra Hazel es una escritora que está en bloqueo escritor luego de pasar por un mal divorcio, se va a vivir al pequeño pueblo de Story Lake con su mejor amiga Zoey (que también es su agente) en busca de inspiración para su próximo libro, choca caminos con Cam y aquí es donde (digo yo) empieza todo el viaje de risas, lágrimas, pero sobre todo muchas risas.

La historia es simple, son 16 horas de escucha pero se sienten super ligeras y más cuando lo estaba escuchando en el trabajo, tenía tal sonrisa de boba que muchos de mis compañeros de trabajo me preguntaron el porqué. La historia fue hermosa, la renovación de la casa, el pueblo que se ganó todo mi cariño, EL ROMANCE!!! Dios, fue lento pero seguro.

Sin duda Lucy Score sabe cómo escribir un libro ambientado en pueblos pequeños porque lo que soy yo me quiero ir a vivir a Story Lake.

[ENG] Yep, another book by Mariana Zapata that I loved from start to finish. I’m not usually into fantasy or books like that, but here I am, reading until the early hours of the morning because this whole world she created for me was simply ✨perfect✨

Nina and little Duncan stole my heart (especially our little puppy) they were beautiful, they were funny, they were the cutest family in the world. Every aspect of the two of them was the best part of this book for me. The way Nina just wanted to do what was best for him, even knowing she’d get hurt, I simply adored her for that. Now Henri enters the equation, our big bad wolf (here I’m taking the liberty of calling him that, hehe), the grumpy, gorgeous owner of my sighs (Kulti, watch out they’re almost taking your spot), a fully developed character who gave me gray hairs, but the good kind.

I found the whole story super interesting. I feel like Mariana was writing this book and thought, “I’ll find every mythological creature that exists and put them in this world,” and yes, even though it might seem like a mess, for me it worked in a really beautiful way because now I want to read a thousand books like this (written by her). I loved all the secondary characters; each one brings their own magic to the book, and gosh, I want to say more but that would be a spoiler.

A story I definitely want to read again (even though I finished it a few days ago) because I want to be with these characters once more. Mariana waited two years to publish it, and yes, it gave me everything and more.

[ESP] Yep, otro libro de Mariana Zapata que adore de principio a fin, a ver que yo no soy de leer fantasía y ese tipo de libros pero aquí me tiene ella, leyendo hasta la madrugada porque todo este mundo que se creo para mi simplemente fue ✨perfecto✨

Nina y el pequeño Duncan me robaron el corazón (más nuestro pequeño cachorro), fueron hermosos, fueron graciosos, fueron la familia mas linda del mundo, cada aspecto de ellos dos para mi fue lo mejor de este libro, como Nina solo quería hacer lo mejor para él, aun sabiendo que ella saldría lastimada, simplemente la adore por eso. ahora en la ecuación entra Henri, nuestro lobo feroz (aquí me estoy tomando el atrevimiento de decirle asi jeje), gruñón hermoso dueño de mis suspiros (Kulti, cuidado que casi te quitan el puesto), un personaje completo que me hizo sacar canas pero de las buenas.

Toda la historia me pareció re interesante, siento que Mariana estaba escribiendo este libro y pensó “buscaré todas las criaturas mitológicas que existen y los meteré en este mundo” y si, aunque puede parecer un desastre para mi funciono de una manera muy hermosa porque ahora quiero leer mil libros como este (escritos por ella), todos los personajes secundarios me encantaron, cada uno de ellos le da su magia al libro y dios, quiero decir mas pero seria spoiler.

Una historia que sin duda quiero volver a leer (y eso que lo terminé hace unos días) porque quiero volver a estar con estos personajes nuevamente. Mariana esperó dos años para publicar, y si, me dio todo y más.

[ENG] If Kay writes it, I'll be here reading it and this novel was EVERYTHING I needed! The characters, the story, the well written “friends to lovers” plot I just loved it!

Lily and Oliver are our main characters, and they stole my heart. The spice was perfect, the drama too, and yes, I was a little worried about it, but it was necessary for them to be together and everything flowed smoothly. The romance had its ups and downs, to be honest (yes, even though this is a novella, I felt it was complete in that regard), but it worked.

A story that's a quick read, hooks you and gives you EVERYTHING. Kay definitely knows how to write short but complete novels.

[ESP] Si Kay lo escribe, aquí me van a tener leyéndola y es que esta novela fue TODO lo que necesitaba! Los personajes, la historia, el friends to lovers tan bien escrito, es que me encanto!

Lily y Oliver son nuestros protagonistas y unos que me robaron el corazón, el spicy fue perfecto, el drama también, y si, estaba un poco preocupada por ello pero fue necesario para que pudieran estar juntos, todo fluyó de buena manera. El romance fue de sube y baja a decir verdad (si, siendo esta una novela la sentí completa en ese aspecto) pero funcionó.

Una historia que se lee rápido, te atrapa y que te da TODO. Sin duda Kay sabe como escribir novelas cortas pero completas.

[ENG] It was bittersweet reading this book, knowing it’s the last one in this series I love so much, but I think we ended on a high note because Zara and Cormac’s story is one of those you just can’t put down until you finish it, it’s the kind that keeps you up all night reading, and let me tell you, I really loved it!

While “friends to lovers” is one of my least favorite tropes, here it was excellent. The drama at the beginning kept me reading to find out what would happen, and let me tell you, it was worth it. Seeing these two protagonists reunite, become friends again, and finally express all the feelings they had was the best part. The romance was sweet; once everything gets sorted out, everything flows in a way that I really liked. Their personalities complemented each other so well that you’d think they’d always been together.

All the Kellys here were the ace up the sleeve, and they’re definitely a family I’ll always remember. A book and a couple that were perfect for wrapping up this series.

[ESP] Que agridulce fue leer este libro sabiendo que es el último en esta serie que tanto me gusta pero creo que cerramos con broche de oro porque la historia de Zara y Cormac es de esas que no puedes dejar de leer hasta terminarla, es de esas que te mantienen despierta leyendo y les digo que me gusto mucho!

Si bien el friends to lovers es de mis tropes poco favoritos aquí fue excelente, el drama del principio me mantuvo leyendo para saber que pasaría y déjenme decirles que valió la pena, ver a estos dos protagonistas volverse a encontrar, volverse amigos otra vez y por fin sacando todos los sentimientos que tenían fue lo mejor. El romance fue lindo, una vez que todo se arregla, todo fluye de tal manera que me gusto. Sus personalidades se complementaban tan bien que pensarías que siempre estuvieron juntos.

Todos los Kelly acá fueron el as bajo la manga y sin duda es una familia que siempre recordaré. Un libro y una pareja que fueron perfectos para cerrar esta serie.
